📜 Read it aloud
When the sun sets, the Night Safari wakes up.
My family boarded the tram and rolled into the darkness.
A guide whispered into the microphone, pointing at glowing eyes among the trees.
We saw tapirs, leopards and a very sleepy lion.
The air smelled of damp leaves and distant rain.
I learnt that many animals sleep during the day and hunt at night.
The stars above looked like a thousand tiny lamps.
By the time we reached the exit, my eyelids were heavy.
On the ride home, I dreamt I was a leopard running through silver grass.
